I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. I've been to Pho City on countless occasions and they never disappoint.
Growing up in Sacramento, I've tried plenty of pho places but NONE like Pho City. The broth is to die for! Like literally soothing to the soul! Not only do they have a variety of pho options they also allow you to customize your noodle preference. The first in Sacramento to do this if my memory serves me right and still the only one who does it. My favorite is the special which is number 1.
I recently tried their Bun Bo Hue and it was mouthwatering. The soup came out steaming so you know it was brought out fresh and hot.
The restaurant is always clean and the employees are always friendly amd extremely accomodating. Side note: bathrooms are a huge Yay or Nay for me when it comes down to reviewing a place and I gotta say that Pho City does a great job at keeping theirs clean! -

This little gem is located in a strip mall in Stockton Blvd. It's easily missed if you're just driving down the street. However if you live pho, you must visit this place. There are ample parking and the restaurant offers seating for large groups. We had a party of 10 and were seated immediately.
I ordered the Bun Bo Hue. I didn't realize that the medium size is pretty big. They were very generous with the amount of meat and noodles in the bowl. The flavor was good. Lacking lemon grass and spice though. Also, I preferred my meat a bit more tender.
My son doesn't eat meat and ordered the fried Chinese donut. It came out crispy and delicious. Needless to say, he quickly demolished it.
The wait staff were friendly.
The place even has a wine cellar... go figure! -

This was my go-to pho place when I was living in the area. We used to come every week and we always ordered the Pho Tai. The broth is more on the sweet side, but it's really good/flavorful. The flavor is always consistent and the portions are big. Definitely can't go wrong with their pho. However, the restaurant itself has gotten dirtier and dirtier.
Warning: DO NOT look at the floor at all--It's so disgusting that it'll ruin your appetite. -

Come here if you love pho!!!
This place has the best pho I've ever had. They're so generous with their portions. I always order a small #8 and it seriously fills you up. Sometimes I have to take it home because I can't finish it. The broth here is also amazing! It's so good that you don't have to add any hoisin sauce or chili oil.
I also enjoy their vermicelli bowl. Whenever I go to other Vietnamese restaurants, their vermicelli bowls are quite small and expensive. However, Pho City's is big! I believe it is $8 for a bowl without the egg roll, but man will I tell you that it's so bomb. Truly, whatever you get, you're bound enough to get a good portion of food for what you pay for. The staff is also pretty nice too, which is a plus.
The only downside (and why I took a star off) to this establishment is the parking lot. It's old and bumpy. The lines for the parking spaces are diminishing as we speak. It would be better if it was in a nicer parking lot, but that's okay.
I will always come back here for their pho! It's literally the best. -

I've been here a few times and both times have been great! Time to write a review. Both times I've been here the service was great and our food came out unexpectedly fast! The food is even better. It had so much flavor. Flavor is one of our keys to picking great pho restaurants because it's hard to find good places that bring out that authentic pho flavor.
I probably would want my bun bo hue a tad spicer but it had such great flavor. I just added a spoon full of chili sauce and it was perfect.
This place also has a lot of great seating for small and large groups and is also very clean.
The menu is pretty extensive I might say. They have pho, porridge, appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli noodles, a la carte, family style dinners, vegetables, and hot pot!
